| | as my summer winds up im trying to think about what i've done so far. i havent learned how to play harmonica just like i promised myself. and i havent gone cliff jumping, camping, or to the pool a lot like i have ever other previous summer. i didn't get a job this summer, and i got fired from my research job. my boss told me that i wasn't coming in enough and that he expected more out of me during the summer. when he sat me down, his tone was fully indicative that he was gunna can me like soup, so i got sort of pissed off and replied that there is no way i can work more than the 2-3 hours i did daily during the spring considering i live not in athens. he asked me to tell him if he was being unfair, so i did. i said it wasn't really fair to fire someone who is working for free - no money and no course credit. and that it was unfair for him to get someone to finish the project i worked on for 2 semesters in about two weeks.
although i didnt much care for computational chem, i do think im one of the first volunteers to ever get fired. even drew lasted longer doing his volunteer work. drew >> me by like about 800. anywyas i got hired from 3 other labs, so that all worked well for me.
i had a super troopers moment in the beginning of classes at spsu. as i stepped out of my car to embark on my first day of class i hear, "step back in your car sir." the rest of the exchange is as follows pig : "im pulling you over." (i couldn't resist saying this although it didnt make much sense) : but, sir, im already pulled over. i cant pull over any more
after it was all said and done i got a ticket for rolling over the stop sign right before the parking lot. bollocks. if the summer ends up well, i know ill have a fond memory of the summer. that tends to happen with me. the impression i have leaving an experiance is usually the one that lasts. i tend to forget the bad stuff if it ends well. and, well, this summer is going to end with my birthday soon. party ideas anyone? i was thinking about 1) going to a strip club - probably boomers 2) pool party and getting tanked somewhere 3) improv club 4) getting a moonbounce
who knows? this summer has been good tho. a good, lazy, east cobb summer. while it hasnt been that exciting, i dont blame summer; i blame myself. i think my sympathetic nervous system has become apathetic.
ps - my birthday is during SHARK WEEK. OHHH YEAAH
