Ohh yeah! my room is 600 degrees, but this time i dont have any room mates, meaning i can squeeze one out any time i want to. the bras and i spent the better part of the day cleaning. the house looks nice, and i feel somehow that this year will be better than the last. i feel positive. better grades, better friends, and better experiaces. hopefully working in the new infectious respitory diseases lab will be fun. otherwise im takin phys biochem, human biochem, leadersip classes, research, and honors religoin. miss you

meow

ronjon

Wednesday, August 01, 2007

as my summer winds up im trying to think about what i've done so far. i havent learned how to play harmonica just like i promised myself. and i havent gone cliff jumping, camping, or to the pool a lot like i have ever other previous summer. i didn't get a job this summer, and i got fired from my research job. my boss told me that i wasn't coming in enough and that he expected more out of me during the summer. when he sat me down, his tone was fully indicative that he was gunna can me like soup, so i got sort of pissed off and replied that there is no way i can work more than the 2-3 hours i did daily during the spring considering i live not in athens. he asked me to tell him if he was being unfair, so i did. i said it wasn't really fair to fire someone who is working for free - no money and no course credit. and that it was unfair for him to get someone to finish the project i worked on for 2 semesters in about two weeks.

although i didnt much care for computational chem, i do think im one of the first volunteers to ever get fired. even drew lasted longer doing his volunteer work. drew >> me by like about 800. anywyas i got hired from 3 other labs, so that all worked well for me.

i had a super troopers moment in the beginning of classes at spsu. as i stepped out of my car to embark on my first day of class i hear, "step back in your car sir." the rest of the exchange is as follows
pig : "im pulling you over."
(i couldn't resist saying this although it didnt make much sense) : but, sir, im already pulled over. i cant pull over any more

after it was all said and done i got a ticket for rolling over the stop sign right before the parking lot. bollocks. if the summer ends up well, i know ill have a fond memory of the summer. that tends to happen with me. the impression i have leaving an experiance is usually the one that lasts. i tend to forget the bad stuff if it ends well. and, well, this summer is going to end with my birthday soon. party ideas anyone? i was thinking about 1) going to a strip club - probably boomers 2) pool party and getting tanked somewhere 3) improv club 4) getting a moonbounce

who knows? this summer has been good tho. a good, lazy, east cobb summer. while it hasnt been that exciting, i dont blame summer; i blame myself. i think my sympathetic nervous system has become apathetic.

ps - my birthday is during SHARK WEEK. As it goes, sirius, the dog star, is line with the sun and making each day a gold bond day. When i turn twenty this summer, i'll no longer be invincible, and i'll no longer be a teenager. So between now and then i have to take advantage of my terminal invincibility and do everything a teenager is supposed to do that i havent already.

I still haven't stolen drew's car, gone skydiving, won at poker, or used the rope swing behind the dam at vickery creek. m.s, and PhD all from ga tech. yep, thats what gene, james, roger, charles, and dragos are all gunna end up like. all mike 'crazy eyes' thackston's power obviously stems from his stache - a stache that i hear tickles more than david 'theticklemonster' shaw.

the kids in my class always seem higher than stone mountain. upon discussing an integral, a kid called it the "squiggly line thing... you know." it seemed legit at the time.

the mcat class is going well. i took myself out to dinner one day after it at this swank asian place across the street. the backyard of the place is a glassed off lake with fish and a scenic bridge. chic. my server was cool and hooked me up with some brewskis. i asked him if he wanted to slam some with me, but i dont think he got it. hes from singapore. we play lots of hacky sack during the break in the class. im bringing it back.

now its your turn to update your xanga

btw, where is andrew baek? that kid is awesome
Tuesday, May 29, 2007

summer is unwinding awesomely like a fruit by the foot. each day i feel like i pack so much in. today, for example, i "swam" in jessica's "pool," went to the eye doctor, and chilled at the waterfall with gener. the best part of jessica's pool was the opportunity to yell "WHICH DAD?" when she began a story with "my dad.."

btw, i am legally blind (ha, i typed bling. im always legally bling, baby) without my contacts or glasses. i asked my optommy what legally blind was and he replied, "you're blind. you cant do anything without your glasses." i sort of laughed uncomfortably and the image of velma from scooby doo came to mind
...
naked.

i hope we can get some sort of big group trip together this summer. by big group i mean like 5 bc the only ppl i see everyday are now gene and greg. i got really nostalgic today. i got physics and mcat tomorrow, but those two arent ending up to be very hard at all. the mcat is a lot easier than we make it out to be. i remember when we saw Thomas Jefferson studying with mcat books and fear crept into my heart like STIs through a broken condom. now it doesnt seem that implausible. the mcat books are great for chemistry and biology knowledge.

this was kind of funny - i got an email from some friendly indian fellow ...

"

Dear Mr. Ronjon Banerjee,

I heard that one of my best friends from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal perhaps joined to Georgia University as Assistant
Professor.
I tried to contact with him but all my mails failed to deliver.
